Gambling as Entertainment — Not a Financial Strategy

At ab555, responsible gambling is woven into the foundation of everything we do. Whether you're following a PSL T20 match, betting on an ICC knockout fixture from Karachi or playing live dealer casino games late at night in Lahore — the same principle applies: gambling should never put your finances, relationships or mental health at risk.

Responsible gambling means making informed, voluntary decisions about when, how much and how often you gamble. It means setting personal boundaries before you start, not after you've gone further than you intended. It means recognising that every bet carries a genuine chance of losing, and that no system, strategy or streak changes the fundamental randomness of the outcomes.

ab555 is committed to providing all players — from Islamabad to Faisalabad, from Multan to Peshawar — with the tools, information and access to support that make responsible play possible. We take this commitment seriously, and it reflects directly in our platform design, account features and editorial policy.

Pakistan Legal Reminder: Pakistan's Prevention of Gambling Act, 1977 applies to gambling activities. ab555 does not claim to be licensed or endorsed by any Pakistani government body. Users are solely responsible for understanding and complying with local law.

Self-Assessment

Ask Yourself These Questions

If you answer "yes" to three or more of these questions, we strongly encourage you to use our responsible gambling tools or seek professional support.

1

Do you gamble with more money than you can comfortably afford to lose?

2

Do you gamble to recover losses from a previous session?

3

Do you find it difficult to stop gambling once you have started?

4

Has gambling caused arguments, stress or problems in your relationships?

5

Do you hide your gambling activity from family, friends or colleagues?

6

Do you feel anxious, irritable or restless when not gambling?

7

Has gambling negatively affected your work, studies or daily routine?

This checklist is for self-reflection only. If you have concerns, contact our support team at [email protected] or use the self-exclusion tool in your account settings.

Six Tools to Keep You in Control

These tools are available to every registered ab555 user at all times. Use them proactively — before problems arise, not after.

Deposits

Deposit Limits

Set a maximum deposit amount on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Once your limit is reached, no further deposits are accepted until the period resets. Limits can be reduced immediately — increases require a cooling-off period before taking effect.

Losses

Loss Limits

Cap how much you are permitted to lose within a set time period. If your net losses in any day, week or month reach the limit you've chosen, play is paused until the new period begins. A simple, practical guard against chasing losses.

Time

Session Time Limits

Define the maximum duration of a single gaming session. When your limit is reached, you are automatically logged out. This is particularly useful for late-night sessions when the sense of time can slip away unnoticed.

Reality Checks

Enable periodic pop-up reminders that display how long you have been playing and your net win/loss position in the current session. Reality checks help you make a conscious decision to continue or stop rather than playing on autopilot.

Cooling Off

Cooling-Off Period

Take a structured break from the Platform for a defined period — from 24 hours up to 6 weeks. During a cooling-off period, your account remains open but you cannot make deposits or place bets. A short, reversible pause to regain perspective.

Exclusion

Self-Exclusion

Request a temporary (minimum 6 months) or permanent exclusion from the Platform. During self-exclusion, your account is suspended, marketing communications are blocked and re-registration is prevented. This is our strongest protection tool.

How to Set Your Responsible Gambling Limits

Setting limits takes less than two minutes and can be done at any time from your ab555 account settings. Here is how:

1

Log in to your ab555 account

Use your registered username and password. Enable two-factor authentication for additional security if you have not done so already.

2

Navigate to Account Settings

Click on your username or profile icon in the top right corner, then select "Account Settings" or "Responsible Gambling" from the dropdown menu.

3

Select Your Tool

Choose from Deposit Limits, Loss Limits, Session Time Limits, Reality Checks, Cooling-Off or Self-Exclusion. Each tool has its own dedicated settings panel.

4

Enter Your Chosen Value

For monetary limits, enter your preferred PKR amount. For time-based limits, select a duration. For exclusions, confirm the period or select permanent exclusion.

5

Confirm & Save

Confirm your choice. Limit reductions and self-exclusions take effect immediately. Limit increases require a mandatory waiting period before activation.

6

Need Help? Contact Support

If you cannot access settings or need immediate assistance, contact our 24/7 support team via live chat or at [email protected]. We can apply limits or exclusions on your behalf.

How Self-Exclusion Works at ab555

Self-exclusion is the strongest player protection tool we offer. Once activated, the Platform takes the following steps:

Immediate Account Suspension

Your account is suspended within minutes of your request. You will not be able to log in, deposit or place bets for the duration of your exclusion.

Balance Protection

Any remaining balance in your account at the time of exclusion is protected. Withdrawal of the remaining balance can be arranged via our support team.

Marketing Block

All promotional emails, SMS alerts and bonus notifications are immediately blocked. You will not receive any gambling-related communications from ab555 during your exclusion period.

Re-registration Prevention

Our systems are configured to prevent you from creating a new account during an active self-exclusion. If you attempt to re-register, your application will be declined.

Minimum Exclusion Period: 6 Months

The shortest self-exclusion period we offer is 6 months. Permanent exclusion is also available and is irreversible upon confirmation.

Reinstatement Process

At the end of a temporary exclusion, your account is not automatically reinstated. You must contact support and complete a reinstatement review, which includes a cooling-off review period.

If you need self-exclusion urgently, do not wait. Contact our live chat now or email [email protected] with the subject line "Self-Exclusion Request". We will action it immediately.

💚
Seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Many people successfully address gambling-related issues with the right support. The earlier help is sought, the better the outcomes tend to be. ab555 will always support a user who chooses to self-exclude or limit their play — without judgement, without delay.

Keeping Children Safe — 18+ Policy

ab555 enforces a strict adults-only policy. The Platform is accessible only to individuals who are 18 years of age or older — or the higher minimum required by the operator's licence jurisdiction. Providing false information about your age to access the Platform is a serious breach of our Terms & Conditions and will result in immediate account termination.

For Parents & Guardians

If you share a device with children or young adults in your household, we strongly recommend:

  • Always log out of your ab555 account when not in use;
  • Use device-level parental controls and content filters;
  • Never share your login credentials with anyone;
  • Install dedicated parental control software if children regularly use the device.

Parental Control Tools

Several parental control tools are available that can filter gambling content at the device or network level. These include:

  • Net Nanny — web content filtering;
  • Bark — monitoring and alerts for parents;
  • Circle — device-level controls;
  • Built-in iOS and Android screen time parental controls.
Being 18 or older does not make gambling legal in Pakistan. Users must independently assess the laws that apply to them. This notice is informational and not legal advice.

Responsible Gambling FAQ

No. Limit increases are subject to a mandatory waiting period — typically 24 to 72 hours — before taking effect. This cooling-off period is intentional: it gives you time to reconsider whether an increase is in your best interest. Reductions, by contrast, take effect immediately.

Self-exclusion is processed immediately upon your confirmed request. If you contact support via live chat or email, the support team will action it as a priority request. Your account will be suspended, marketing communications will stop and re-registration will be blocked within minutes.

Yes. Your remaining account balance is protected during self-exclusion and can be withdrawn. Contact our support team at [email protected] to arrange withdrawal of your balance. KYC verification may be required before the withdrawal is processed.

A cooling-off period is a shorter, temporary break (from 24 hours up to 6 weeks) during which you cannot deposit or bet. It is designed for players who want to pause without closing their account permanently. Self-exclusion is a more serious, longer-term measure (minimum 6 months, with permanent exclusion available) designed for users who feel they need a sustained or indefinite break from gambling.

ab555 does not provide legal advice. Pakistan's Prevention of Gambling Act, 1977 restricts gambling activities in Pakistan. The legal status of online gambling depends on the specific activity, applicable law and jurisdiction. We strongly recommend that you consult an independent legal adviser to understand your personal legal position before engaging in any gambling activity.

If you are concerned about a family member or friend's gambling, organisations like Gamblers Anonymous and GamCare (text references only) provide resources specifically for friends and family members affected by someone else's gambling. Approaching the person calmly, without blame, and encouraging them to seek help is generally more effective than confrontation. If the person has an ab555 account and you believe they need protection, contact our support team.
